Cheapest Mobile phone with MP3 Player

Hi All
I am looking to get a mobile phone, primarily to use as a Walkman (MP3 player), and as an emergency phone second!
I think I have found a 12 month contract with 12 months free rental with **website removed** and have also seen similar via a link advertised on eBay on the 3 network. Both offer cashback that equates to getting the phone free(I think!)
What I would like is recommendations for the best mobile with the best MP3 player, eg long battery life, ability to store more than 20 tracks etc
Anyone with any suggrestions please would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
(Newbie post so please be gentle)

never heard of **website removed**, so wouldn't recommend getting a contract from them. major players such as carphonewarehosue, e2save, mobileshop are good bets as they are more likely to cashback without hassle

i would recommend se k750i since i got one
it's a brill phone. comes with 64mb mem card which can store 20 ish tracks, and extra mem can be bought quite cheaply.
good luck!

Sony Ericsson K750i for me - but not from the place that you are looking.0

What make is the k750i? 20 tracks is not much as I walk 3 miles each way to work (36 minutes) each day. How much is the memory and what type, eg SD, mini SD etc?
Thanks

Sounds like you are promoting the site Mr Hastings!0

No, not promoting the site, I am just cautious. I had a 5 year insurance plan on my video recorder with currey sometime ago, and when I triy to get a refund it took ages before they paid out.the_tired_one wrote:Sounds like you are promoting the site Mr Hastings!
I would like to know if the principle of "Cashback" is sound with these types of companies, the actual contracts are with o2, orange etc, but I am suspicious of the companies "controlling" the offer (not the 123 shopping bot I referred to, who preumably get paid if you click on the link to the site where you buy?)
I therefore really have two questions. What phone is the best mobile phone with MP3 facility, which I can basically get for nought. I have lookes on "freebie" sites to no avail. I found the "shopping bot" (like pricerunner) by using Google using "12 month contract" and "12 months free", but like any search it returned thousands of results, so i'm not sure where the best forum is. I also subscribe to moneysaving hints and haven't noticed anything relevant before.
Await any info from readers? thanks

I would start here.

Gives you a good indictation of what 12 month FREE line rentals are out there.0 -
Another Q, I have joined quidco, after reading the spiel about TalkTalk, but codn't find the £40 cashback site Martin mentions. I presume that I can use a link from Quidco to get to one of the sites I have just noticed elsewhere here about e2save, phoneboedirect, etc etc AND get money for the phone as well as getting it free.
Anyone with any thoughts/advice?
(will look at above site by the_tired_one in a mo.)

Thats the way it works! Its free, plus you get an extra £25+ quid to boot!0 -
Now i'm confused - I looked at your site but couldn't tell if the phones offered had a good mp3 player (which will be phone's main function, for me anyway!)the_tired_one wrote:Thats the way it works! Its free, plus you get an extra £25+ quid to boot!
Just used Quidco link to the mobile outlet as it offers £30 cashback (e2save and onestopphoneshop are both higher at £36.50), BUT does not fair well in the poll elsewhere on this sire
It does, however, show a 10 phones on a free 12 month contract, including the one you mentioned, E750i and a Motorola V3X - i'm still not sure which phone on offer is the best one for the MP3 player
Help please (e.g, is there a comparison site that compares features of ANY make of phone - I've been on the Sony site which lets you compares 3 of its phones features)Regular Moneysaver:money:0 -
Have you not thought about getting a mp3 player??
