Orange PAC

Depends if you want to keep your number or not.
If you are not bothered then simply get a virgin sim and start using.
If you need to keep number then ask orange for PAC. They shouldnt charge you for it. I have previously had it sent via text but some people say orange writing letters now....
Once you have new virgin sim and PAC from orange then ring virgin and give them your PAC. They will port your number within 7 days so you will now be on virgin but with existing number.
It is not the same as unlocking a phone (although if you are using an orange locked mobile you will also need to have this unlocked, possible for free or maybe £5-10 from a shop)0 -
Thanks,If you are not bothered then simply get a virgin sim and start using.
Do you mean that Virgin give new numbers by default?
Also how can I tell if my phone is currently locked?
Thx0 -
If you get hold of a virgin sim it will have a new phone number.
You can keep your existing number as detailed above.
If you bought your phone from orange and it has their branding then it is probably locked. You can check by inserting a different networks sim into it.
Like i said, most phones are easily and legally unlocked (nokias can mostly be done free, search this site for unlocking phone threads).0
