That's strange. If you type '2010 Silver Eagle' into Google there seems to be a lot of them for sale. Even from UK sellers. £26 if you're interested.
There are no more silver Eagles being made by the US mint because demand was far greater than the supply of available silver. If anyone did manage to get some before they ran out of silver then they can sell them for a very good price now.
£26 is a very good price, will be over £30 soon.0 -

The US mint has not run out of silver, and it is still producing Silver Eagles. Since you're clearly misinformed on the subject I'd read this if I were you ;-

What has happened is that the US Mint has suspended production of the Proof and Uncirculated versions of the Silver Eagle in order to concentrate production on the bullion version of the Silver Eagle, since its is obliged by law to produce as much silver bullion as people will buy.
You can buy as many 2010 Silver Eagles as you like. You even get a discount for buying in quantity.0 -
Desert eagles would doubtless be more valuable to have than silver eagles should the world's currencies go to pot.
Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

Quite. I've oftened wondered why the precious metal freaks never think of that.0 -

Production of United States Mint American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coins continues to be temporarily suspended because of unprecedented demand for American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. Until recently, all available silver bullion blanks were being allocated to the American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin Program, as the United States Mint is required by Public Law 99-61 to produce these coins “in quantities sufficient to meet public demand . . . .”

It has been the same the last few years demand is outstripping supply.
The fact is production of the US silver eagle has been suspended because of unprecedented demand.
Yes you can buy a limited amount of proof silver eagles for about $50 per oz. But only if you live in the US and limited to 100 per household.0 -

That's right the production of "Uncirculated Coins" has been suspended to concentrate on the production of "Silver Bullion Coins". If you're a coin collector this a crushing blow. However if you're a precious metal freak you can still buy as many bullion coins as you want. The US mint is obliged to produce them.
All your link tells us, is that the US mint has now managed to get hold of some more silver blanks so it can resume production of Proof coins. All of which rather demonstrates that your previous statement "There are no more silver Eagles being made by the US mint" was a tad inaccurate.
There are plenty of 2010 Silver Eagles to be had. Cheapest I could find where £21 including VAT. You can also buy Britannias, Canadian Maples, Chinese Pandas, and Australian Koalas to name but a few.0 -
Half the time with this thread, I don't know if I'm Captain Mainwaring being told we're all doomed, or David Attenborough being told there's a whole new species of bird life out there.

The Australians also do Kookaburras, although they seem to be only available in 1kg format. (Tis a right old menagerie.) Though I'm not sure why you'd bother with coins if all you were after was the silver, it's cheaper to buy the bars. £650.95 per kilo on the internet, VAT and insured delivery included. A bit cheaper if you buy the 5kg bars. Discounts available for quantity.0

So when is this deflation starting then? I have heard this argued for so long meanwhile inflation is way above target and the BOE are useless clowns hoping for a magic fall because they dare not raise rates. Meanwhile savers are screwed.0
