So prior to this you could buy Silver Eagles (some sort of coin I am guessing) for less than the value of the silver used to make them - and so the US Govt had to put the price up? And?

"BREAKING NEWS: The United States Mint has officially raised their wholesale pricing above spot on American Silver Eagles to all authorized dealers from $1.50 to $2.00, an increase of a whopping 33%. This news comes on the heels of a significant silver spot price rally over the last month to a new thirty year record over $22 per ounce. The impact of this news is significant and has already affected dealer pricing across the country within hours, as prices on Silver American Eagles have jumped over $0.50/oz industry wide."

Er no. If you look at the charts silver is going up at quite a rate. This seems to be increasing.

I am talking about real silver not fools silver paper promises.

Very good news for all those silver bulls on here.

it doesn't matter how many aliases you create, there is still only one of you!
  • Gold and silver have always done well in deflation. So has cash obviously but houses have always done very very badly.

If you can get hold of any silver bullion at todays prices then your bullion is going to be worth a hell of a lot more in years to come.

I am hearing more about silver maples 2010 being no more because they cant get hold of the silver to make them, there just isnt enough silver in the world.

Also Silver eagles have been having problems for years now.

Looks like the prices will just keep rising as more people find out about the rarity of real silver......

Not so good for those gold and silver bears who defiantly keep saying Im not interested in gold and silver. They will be late to the party.

Its not too late yet the public are slow to wake up to the fact that gold and silver are the most important subjects in this crisis.

Its not too late to get hold of some silver bullion while the price is still bellow $100 oz.

Out of curiosity, when do you think, in your honest opinion, silver will hit the $100 oz? 5yrs? 10 yrs? 20yrs?

Eh? How did you come to that conclusion - it was always priced above spot - "The United States Mint has officially raised their wholesale pricing above spot on American Silver Eagles to all authorized dealers from $1.50 to $2.00"

But now the silver Eagle is no longer in production because demand has outstripped the supply of silver.

Maybe they will make more silver eagles next year if they can get some more silver but I would guess the price will have gone up even more.

Sorry I misread this as they had increased their pricing by 50c to take it above spot. I now see my mistake, in fact they have just increased their profit margin.

That's strange. If you type '2010 Silver Eagle' into Google there seems to be a lot of them for sale. Even from UK sellers. £26 if you're interested.

You can buy these too. £24 on ebay.
