yes transport, my car , 30 pounds per week between petrol, road tax and putting somthing away for an mot.

thats what I meant by 'where's the car'. So £40 a month for insurance and £130 a month for everything else (£30 transport)

transport is £30 a week and school dinners is £15 a week meaning £195 a month

It wasn't clear but I meant that the £65 per month sum (as opposed to 4 weekly) is the cost of school dinners, whereas I omitted specifying the transport costs which are actually £170 per month.

OP wrote "travel to and from work,30 pounds per week, school dinners 15 pounds a week, 40 pounds a month car insurance."

I assume her place of work is some distance away as its the travel costs, presumably the high petrol costs, that stop her from working full time as opposed to 24 hours per week now.
  • that is correct jowo. If i worked full time i would be no better off anyway.

Why does having a packed lunch mean your son can't go out with his mates? Can't he just eat it with them where ever they usually eat unless you're talking about them eating in say McDonalds each day.
  • Quick update, called council yesterday, re second adult rebate for son. I was told my council tax will go up, as people on jsa need to pay council tax as well. Debrag, of course they dont eat in macdonalds every day. How unhealthy would that be? Yes, i think he could take his packed lunch with him when he goes for lunch break with his friends. I think he feels the difference, as you do as a child, that they have a choice in what they want for lunch, where as he doesnt. I know, tough luck for him. Cant help feeling a tad sorry for him. I think he should just be grateful to be getting food, period.
