Asda misprice !

Very interesting thread! I got overcharged at asda the other day on 4 bags of flour and when I took them back got fobbed off with a £2 refund. I have just rung customer services and informed by employee that 'we were only told about this policy this week' Does anyone know how long its been going on for? Do you reckon I can go and ask for further refund or will they see the 1st £2 as completion of the problem?
cheers

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

To back up Ben500s earlier post, I have also just been on to Asda HO and it has been confirmed to me unequivocably that you are entitled to a £2 giftcard for EVERY ITEM/PRODUCT you are under or overcharged for. I asked about me buying 6 packets of crisps (not multi pack, separate packets but all cheese & onion, lol!) and it was confirmed I should receive SIX x £2 giftcards. DON'T BE FOBBED OFF, people!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
Another service Asda offer but aren't too keen on actually doing is 'ad match', where they will match the price of any competitors product that has been advertised whether leaflet or in a publication. I tried this a couple of years ago and was sent to CS to get dealt with (almost literally, as it turned out). You should have seen cS woman's face when I took the products and the ads from other supermarkets to get a price match. Like a slapped @rse. She tried all sorts of things to wriggle out of it but I stood my ground and saved a considerable amount of money on some beer and wine.I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

I rang CS today and keep getting told that the misprice policy has changed, I asked why the website hasn't been changed, they plead ignorance! Seems as if they don't want to honour the misprice...

Just got off phone to CS again, said they will send £10 gift voucher by way of apology, I'll crack open the champers when/if it arrives...watch this space....

Hi All,
I finally got a reply this morning saying that I would get a gift card in the post, I'm pleased but it was hard work with many phone calls and emails so I asked for a bit more for inconvenience but will wait and see. In the end I said I'd go to trading standards.
What I don't understand is why cs people get so worked up over giving giftcards out, if I worked for Asda I wouldn't have a problem and go with company policy, unless they'fe under pressure not to give them out.
Anyway at least there's been a result, one for consumer power  :j:A :
