Hello!
Back from book club and Mr. T, had a good time at book club, and managed to come out of Mr. T with only what I needed, which is good! Just catching up on tonight's telly before bed.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Hey everyone, not been feeling myself lately so I've not been posting as much as I'd have liked.
Just had the silly 'what would I do if I won the lottery' convo with Mr AB which cheered me up no end though I was sad when he reminded me that Swiss bank accounts don't necessarily pay you interest from your investments in famous triangular shaped chocolates!!! I would, however, be asking for my winnings to be presented to me in a suitcase filled with £20 notes tied with paper bands....hee hee hee I can but dream!! :rotfl:
Night night troops, once I've blown away the black cloud currently over my head I'll be back a-wigglin' and a-wogglin'!!!Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter0 -
Hi all, handy really is a part timer these days. I keep hoping things will get back to normal sometime soon. I am still doing MSE type work but off line, I have just done another letter to Swiftcover on behalf of Son Nick who had a bump with his car back in February. His Insurance paid out in 3 weeks, but Swiftcover have taken him to Northamton County Court for 1,800 as though he was uninsured. I put a block on it and asked for a 7 day reply. 1 month later no response, so now its a fire and brimstone letter promising a counter claim (I don't make threats - just promises) If a final response is not received within 7 days.
I couldn't have done any of this a year ago, its this site I feel so empowered I have gone from 5ft nothing to 7ft 6.
I tell you my adopted family should be on Jeremy Kyle, today my DD (step daughter) called Mrs Handy to say that the mortgage hasn't been paid for 3 months. Even though there has been a 15K wedding and a birthday party for 25 toddlers that she paid for. and she could do with help. Mil left £300 for funeral, guess who is paying? and she needs help even though Wanabee Gangsta son in law has a waccy baccy farm in his garage (he doesn't smoke) and goes to the gym 6 nights a week to work of his steroids.
If this keeps up I may well be posting on the Bankruptcy thread:D
Please don't misunderstand me, In the dictionary sympathy comes right in the middle between !!!!!! and Syphilis.:rotfl:
Mrs H is the most law abiding, upstanding woman you would ever meet, her only fault was having to raise her family in a nest of vipers. Why can't the young be told that taking the easy route in not the way. In the long run the easy way to make a success of your life is to take the hard route. Anyone can take the easy way out that's just following the flock.
Semi rant over. Well I could build up a full head of steam, but I will keep that for those who deserve it.
I only wanted to make a quick post to explain why I'm not around much at the moment.
Love to all, Handy.:DMother Nature Don't Draw Straight lines, We are Broken Moulds in Life's Grand Design, We look a Mess but we're doing fine,

Crikey Handy! Families, who'd have them, eh? Sounds as eventful as my brother and his ex (separated) wife's escapades. Which I would just shake my head at if I didn't have a nephew, a step-nephew and a step-niece caught up in the middle of it all!
Big deep breath (from the bottom of yer belly, as my body balance teacher would say) then breath out all the tension in a big sigh!
My drumming, well you don't need to hold a tune or anything, just be able to count! I'm doing it for the exercise, so I can do as much or as little as I can manage. I'm having lessons, half an hour a week and it's great. I have rubbish co-ordination (something else I'm hoping to improve through it) and it's really helping, and my posture has got soooo much better in just a few months. It can be funny though, like when I'm trying to practise bass drumming with my right leg, and my right arm goes mad wanting to join in! Or any combination of limbs really. But it's really fun.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Sounds hilarious! I think I would be exactly the same Ames!handyman123 wrote: »Nicca St Andrews is nice, I used to live in Carnoustie, I could see

I've decided in my infinite wisdom that it's where I'm going to live next. Right after I find myself a rich golfer man (might have to read up on glf and perfect feigning looks of interest
).

Mmmmmmmmm! Feel free to send me some as you're number 1 taster. As a bone fide Scottish Lass, it is my duty!(been meaning to make some since June but don't think I've worked those arm muscles at the gym enough! Last time I made it, you needed to eat it with a spoon to catch all the crumbs :rotfl:)
Spoon, I listed another three things on ebay tonight! And brought a little bit more order to some of the wardrobe too. (Paper work and studying not so much )
