Hi all, had a funny phone call this evening (we have had a few strange ones over the last few days) numbers starting 044. But this one finally answered after 15 seconds of silence. A mans vioce in very poor asiatic? english said he represented a firm called stop that call, and If I was to give him my phone number (He had allready got it) and my bank details they would put a block on all unsolicited marketing calls. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I said I already had that facility with my service provider and as I have an ex directory number I would have to insist he tell me how his company came by my number and that I required details of his firm so I could launch a formal complaint with offcom. All I got was a click as the line went dead.

I checked the number 0501 that's all it was 4 digits, with who's calling.com Turns out the folks here are flogging insulation, bank loans or even telling you your computer has a virus and if you pay them X amount on your CC they will tell you how to fix it.

This time Handy was polite, next time they wont be so lucky. As to the 044 number I think it could be something from Handy's murkey past :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: about to rear up again.

Well if it is this time I am armed with the power of Knowledge, due in no small part to Niddy the Great, Bless him.

Cheers all, Take care out there. Nil Carburundum Illeggitimum and all that. Handy.:D
