Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well.
Ames - sorry to hear about your fall, hope you are feeling better now.
Handy - you do make me laugh and I haven't done much of that lately!
The news on my car is it's a write off:(:( I told OH to ask them what exactly needs doing to it and what category of write off it is. I just want to know if it's repairable as I know sometimes they write them off because of the labour costs and not the fact that it is unrepairable, just clutching at straws really I spose, but I'm gutted all the same.
Ah well such is life.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

BL - sorry the car is a write-off, and you are right to check what category it is as you could be able to buy it back off them out of the settlement figure (in fact they sometimes knock off the value of the written-off car anyway as they don't want the bother of getting rid of it) - in other words they pay you a settlement, then you get the damaged car back and repair it from scrapyard parts, etc or 'the guy you know down at the garage' sort of thing
However, if it is a cat C/D (I think???) it must be scrapped as unsafe on the roads
We used to buy our cars from a guy who done up Cat A/B insurance jobs - cheap cars they were too!!Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
