  • Well we have the white stuff down here in Darzet. Hooray Halls garden now looks as good as anyone else's. If we get snow here that mean's its really bad in the rest of the country.

Funny thing though, down here if they get 1/2 an inch of snow the whole place grinds to a holt.

Dogglies love it though, I had a Chocy and cream Labrodor tonight. You should have seen him with a capping of white on his head and back.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Let's hope it warms up soon, my log pile is going down at a rate of knots :eek::eek:

    Cheers all, Handy. :D

Hmmmm decisions decisions, open a bottle of wine or have a tot or two of rum to warm up....

Oh, I hate making these type of decisions - just have both Ames ;)
Sorry Mum is back in hospital and that you can't visit with your cold ((hugs))

Well no snow yet at home according to Mr 3Dogs but there's plenty up here in North Tyneside - there's been heavy snow on and off since 3 pm on Wednesday, and judging by what is coming down right now out there, I may not be able to get down to see Mam tomorrow

Mam is pretty good at the moment - her chest is OK now with getting her regular nebuliser treatment, and although she isn't eating too much and chokes whenever she drinks, she is more herself again and enjoying watching kids programmes on TV - laughing and giggling at them :j :j She is too weak to sit in a chair though, which is a shame, as has now been in bed for 5 1/2 weeks, except for a few afternoons in a chair in hospital :(

  • Good Morning All. Only ended up with a covering of white. It looks like it will be a good day for taking some Xmas card photographs. :j

I don't want it to settle for too long, but in case we get a white Xmas, I will get in the workshop and start building Grandsons Sledge this afternoon.

2nd cup of coffee coming up then off to the market.

    Cheers all, Handy.:D

    Good Morning All,

I'm working later on at a christmas fair/lights switch on, so I hope everyone wraps up warm for it. The weather will certainly make it feel christmassy anyway. I hope everyone is well and has a good day.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

A "we had a bit of snow but it's all gone now" type of bump from me. Bloomin' cold though, brrrrrr.....

Hugs to everyone needing one, lots of us seem to be going through some bad times at the moment.

    Take care everyone xx

Afternoon all, more studying and writing for me. I need to proof read a novella I've written ready for submission, and a short story for another competition.

Now, which Starbucks do I go to today... town centre will be busy but means I can nip into Tesco for some bits, Studentville will be busy, and suburb might be dodgy getting to because of the snow...

I know it doesn't seem MS, but at £1 for an hour and a half it's probably no cheaper than putting the heating on and making my own coffee!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

    What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:

    report.gif

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.
