Ok can some kind souls please please please give me some tips on the kind of things i can say in my FOS form as i cannot obvioiusly say i was told it was a condition on the card as i ticked the coupons and recvd no advice when accepting the ppi.

I honestly thought it was a good idea to take it out at the time, but am the wiser now.

    HELP:think:
If it was credit card PPI then you could have cancelled at any time TBH. Just to say you made a mistake in thinking it was a good idea would not win you back your PPI I doubt. Did it actually cover you??? Were you eligible to use it?

no precisely, which is why i ask for other reasons that i could use that would help my case, with loans its quite easy, but with credit cards they dont want to know.

With the loans i argued i was told it was a condition of the loan that i took the ppi cover, all of them were upheld.

as the credit cards were not advised on, they have all been rejected.

so i am going to the fos but need a stronger set of arguments that suit my credit cards.

I don't quite understand whether you are saying "no precisely" to the fact it did not cover you anyway or no to the fact that you cannot say it was missold cause you actually applied for it thinking it was a good idea? Can you please clarify?

my point was... yes, precisely... "i cannot just say it was a mistake etc etc"

I am not sure if i was eligible or not, how do i find out?

How does everybody else get ppi on cards back?

is it just a coincidence that all my loans got refunded and all the cards got rejected?

    maybe my arguments were flawed?

what i am asking for is help in preparing my cases properyl to the fos this time as i clearly messed them up when i complained to the lenders.

only got one more shot, and xmas is bloody expensive! lol
  • one point on the demands and needs form.

with mine and Lloyds it was an advised sale and the d & N was done.

however this is flawed as i have a recording of the sale and i clearly say the following.

i have an income protection policy covering my income, (at the time the benifit totalled my nett income)

i have life insurance totalling xxxxxxxxx which is covered by 2 seperate policies, (way more than any loan or card amounts) and in addition lump sum payments from 2 pension schemes if i snuff it.

my employer will pay me full wages if i am off sick,

all these statements were made by me on the recording.

yet on the D & N they ticked no saying i had insufficient cover to make repayments and recommended i take their policy. (how stupid was i).

but what this demonstrates is that they are using the D & N as a cop out, and don't always fill them in correctly.

keep with it and don't accept their version of events.
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free

H robbedofmymoney, the OP says he/she thought it was a good idea at the time but not now and the sale was non advised. I don't think your argument would stand here??

Did the OP have cover elsewhere and did it actually cover them? (debt55 were you working at the time of taking the PPI??).
