Any ideas to reduce Virgin bill

Due to poor heallth my girlfriend is reducing her working hours. She is currently in month 7 of a 12 month contract with Virgin Media.

Her monthly bill can bill can broken down as:-

Well, if your girlfriends starts paying by direct debit ahe'll save the £5 per month payment handling fee, if she currently receives a paper bill she should switch to ebilling to save a further £1.25 per month.

Sorry but the real world doesn't work like that.
  • She could try phoning them and asking if there is anyway that they could give her a better deal, as her finances have changed.
Admittedly I had been with them over a year, but they reduced my bill by a third, just for asking.
Are you sure that she can't reduce some of the options that she is receiving?
  • They're unlikely to offer a discount until after the 12 month contract is up. I'd suggest she decides which is more important of faster internet or more TV channels and reduces services accordingly.
  • Another thing you should watch about virginmedia.

If you make a change they start you on a new 12 month contract.
