free baby on board sign

I just don't car stickers full stop.
Even the 'ARNOLD CLARK' dealer sticker placed on my rear window was removed before leaving the forecourt, when I picked up my new motor. Free advertising for Clarkys no way.
Baby on board stickers are just adverts that say 'We are fertile' ...... but then who are we to critise it's up to the owner what they do with their car.0 -

point is, if someone is driving like an idiot, thats their lookout, they will be the one who is blamed on insurance, or is caught by the police, or generally looks like a ****, those signs make people look like (imho) attention seeking
i would go for a slightly more humorous approach
''if you're close enough to read this i can hit my brakes and sue you''
i am still looking for one of these ^
I would like a sticker that says "Don't complain I'm sticking to the speed limit unless you're prepared to pay my fine & have the points on YOUR licence" for all the drivers who are always up my backside0 -
If you can read any sticker on a car rear window whilst driving - you are too close.
However;
Fustration borne out of speed limits can occur. The instance where someone does not pull over from an 'Overtaking' lane on a Motorway or Dual Carriageway is often counteracted with 'I was driving at the speed limit', as a valid excuse.
Fair play but you are sitting in an overtaking lane and NOT overtaking. Highway Codes clearly states - one should pull over into the left hand side lane IF NOT overtaking.
This leads to undertaking and drivers sitting too close to the car in front. All bad.
The worst instance of tailgate mentality however is on the urban 30 MPH single carriage way road. That gets on my nerves. I think a lot of drivers underestimate the importance of the 30 MPH limit being in place for safety reasons.0 -

Agree 100% with the above.....plus,
These 'guardians of the speed limit' using this as their excuse for sitting where they wish on a multi-lane carriageway road will have no idea as to whether or not their Speedo is accurate.
They could actually be travelling substantially slower than the permitted speed limit even when their cars' Speedo is showing what they believe to be the correct speed.
The sad fact is, no amount of placing Stickers in Windows will compensate for poor/bad/inconsiderate driving.
...............and Breath...:rolleyes2

As a sufferer of severe brain injury (caused by a dangerous driver, who left me in a coma for over a month) I request that no-one uses this approach.
You are risking serious mental and physical harm or death to people behind you / behind them / pedestrians nearby. And potentially harm yourself, very seriously. I can't always walk and talk, years afterwards.Don't gift someone such a legacy.

Life is not about making points
Sorry to hear about your accident.
I agree with you about not making points.
However I have been on a police motorcycle safety course and they did suggest that pressing the brake gently to light up the brake light would be a way of catching someones attention (not slamming on the brakes).
It IS slightly different with motorcycles because they can slow down a lot via engine braking so someone can catch you up quickly (say at a roundabout) without realising you are slowing, but it still applies in a car.
If someone isn't concentrating or is looking to the right (SOOO common on roundabouts) then it can draw their attention.
I would like to stress again this was a suggestion from the police and is about safety not scoring points.0
