A search of the forum doesn't find any discussions about Zen Internet's broadband offerings. Is that correct ?
My partner is looking at Zen and tells me that Which? has recommended them (I know - that doesn't amount to a pile of beans).
Any feedback on the Zen offerings/service ?

I've been a confirmed fan of Zen as and ISP since I switched to them from BT a year ago.
I think they may be marginally more expensive than the bargain basement chaps but they have two great selling points...1. In over a year of use I have never had any disconnections. Both BT broadband and NTL were deadly for that I found.2. Their technical support help line actually called me back after a few minutes, on the one occassion I needed their help (during my initial setup). A feat never yet equalled by any other supplier to my knowledge.
They also offer a month to month billing cycle so your not tied to any contract.
In short I can't praise them highly enough even the month news letter (spam) is quite interesting

There are a couple of reasons you don't see much of Zen mentioned on this site...............
First and foremost (for a moneysaving site). Zen isn't the cheapest ISP out there. People tend to talk about the cheaper packages available on this site.
You also see posts moaning about bad service from various companies. This is something you don't get from Zen. They are a perfect example of 'you get what you pay for'. In return for paying a bit more each month, they provide an absolute faultless service. If you do need to talk to the customer service team (a very very rare occurrence), you get to speak to a real person pretty much immediately.
I've been with Zen for a few years now. In the whole time, I've never even had two minutes downtime. I've never had a single problem with the service, and would very happily recommend this company to anyone that wants a faultless broadband connection. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

When we installed broadband for my sister we used Zen as their reputation is excellent. And they're only 5 minutes down the road also!
Since starting with them only one small prob which they worked on with us to sort - and it was our fault not theirs.
They're not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for which with Zen is just tremendous service.
Highly recommended.Where now?0 -
Just a quick note to other Zen users..............
I only caught up yesterday with the announcement that our free webspace size has gone up from 1GB to 2GB. As well, we can all have up to 11 pop3 mailboxes free (far better than the 5 aliases they gave us before).
Check out the Zen Portal for more info (you need to register for this, but it's immediate, and free)How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I've been with Zen for 6 months now and have no complaints. Yes they are a bit dearer than many other ISPs (I pay 24.99 per month) but customer service is based in the UK and is very good. Also, I have had no service interuptions or down time at all.0
