Someone please help..... NPower & Super Tariff - storage heaters etc!

Please could someone help/advise us........ we rent a little 2 bed flat that is on E7 with NPower. The tarrif is Super Tarriff which i have never heard of and nore do NPower seem to have. When I ring then give me quotes for just E7 and tell me that they cannot find the details for SuperTariff. This is all very new to us (we are used to gas) and have no idea who to contact or what. When we question NPower they cannot even tell me what hours are my night hours and promise to ring me back, but hey they never do. I even resorted to emailing a complaint to them and yep no reply! .... and to add insult to injury we have a really rubbish agent for a landlord who cannot advise us how the to change the settings for the water heater (it is coming on in the day and costing a fortune) and who cannot advise us how to work the storage heaters.

Any advise would be gratefully received as we are desperate!
Time to make a change .......

Hi Sammy....click on the first link, should help.......http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GEUA,GEUA:2005-36,GEUA:en&q=super+tariff+npower
My E7 hours are marked on the meter, changed automatic with the clocks. Others may be different but usually half past midnight to half past seven in the morning.
Can't help with the water heater, other than for you to follow the cable and look for a timer or switch.
  • Hi,

I have worked for npower and am aware of their super tariff. There is a day, evening and night tariff. I don't know how it compares with E7 but when you next call npower up - tell them that your account could be in the Northern CAS system... this is where the majority of supertariff customers still are. A senior team manager should know what it is - if not ask to speak to a manager!

    Hope that helps!

This is usually a tarrif where the council control 1/3 of the heating, the time switch will be else where .

Hope to god they dont change your meter, ive heard many stories where 3 rate meters being swapped for 2 rate and the heaters didnt work anymore!

is the flat ex-council or on a council estate?
