Which phone - HTC Wildfire or Sony Vivaz?

Hello

I'm due for an upgrade and have managed to get a contract Ts&Cs that I'm happy with; however I've been offered either an HTC Wildfire or a Sony Vivaz.

The difference is £5pm more over 24 months if I go with the Sony.

I don't know either of the ohones, so would be grateful for your thoughts.

Thanks in advance:)

Not had either but I would go for the HTC - newer I think and Vivaz has had some problems (well at least from what I have read about it here and there).

Saying that the Sony has slide out keyboard (nicer than using touch screen all the time) and I generally like Sony Ericsson phones.
  • Wildfire hands down. Much better phone and as you said its cheaper.

    Also runs the android os.

Wildfire, My daughter has one. Still prefer my N97 mini but the Wilfire has a more sensitive touch screen.

Lots of features & easy to use.

I'd steer well clear of the Vivaz, it's had alot of reliability issues (like all Sony Ericsson phones these days), and the Symbian OS is clunky and slow, I'd go with the Wildfire

    Thanks guys

I'd gone for the Sony after they called me back yesterday and caught me on the hop.

Then I thought of the £120 over the two years, went online to read the reviews and went out to my local phone shop this afternoon to get a feel of both phones. Two of the guys there said avoid the Sony at all costs because of the software problems.

I came back and read your coments and have rung them to change the phone & contract price. New phone due on Wednesday!

Thanks for all your advice guys

  • You'll be far better off with the Wildfire. Android is second only to the iPhone int he number of apps available. There are far fewer available for Symbian in comparison.
It's my problem, it's my problem

And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
