Yes i would love to have such an event on my doorstep aswell
and not even monday morning neighbours pension day for me either.
Having said this a friend of mine lived on one of the streets that
The Notting Hill Carnival ( or whatever they are calling it these daya) and she felt the same so every year she would go away for the whole weekend to get away from it.
When i used to say to her 'ah you are so lucky it must be great'
she used to say 'no it's a nightmare '
