THE ANNUAL COVENT GARDEN PUNCH & JUDY FESTIVAL
Sunday 3 October from 11.00am until 4.30pm
Covent Garden’s North Hall will be filled with the sound of “That’s the way to do it” on Sunday 3rd October, when the Punch & Judy Fellowship return to stage their annual Punch & Judy Festival.
Fun for all the family when more than a dozen Punch & Judy Professors from around the country will make their annual visit to the Covent Garden, the home of Punch & Judy. This unique festival held in the North Hall of Covent Garden Piazza is organised by the Punch & Judy Fellowship to celebrate Britain’s much loved national puppet show.
With his wicked grin, hook nose and squeaky voice, Mr Punch makes a very welcome return to birthday place, for it was in Covent Garden in 1662 that Samuel Pepys jotted down in his famous diary the first ever reference of what has become our much loved national puppet show.
Members of the Punch & Judy Fellowship will be travelling from as far afield as America to take part in this years festival with shows starting at around 10am until 4pm.
So come along on Sunday 3rd October and enjoy some traditional British entertainment.
Shows will be taking place at regular intervals in the North Hall of Covent Garden Piazza from 10am until around 4pm on Sunday 3rd October.
