    Mopeds didn't start being restricted until about 1975. If you've a moped that was never restricted but registered/made before then then it still counts as a moped.

    It had to have pedals before 1977, or be limited to 30mph, my old Honda SS50 would do nearly 50mph on a good day. Until you got to a hill.
