    I can get just over 10 gallons in when the lights flashing, maybe 11 if I've pushed it, and I can have done anything from 290 to 330 miles, same car but the 1.8 version. I've never got 438 from one tank.

    My 1.6 petrol Astra did that kind of economy - so you're doing well if you're getting that from a Zafira.
  • Vauxhalls generally seem to have good fuel consumption as a VERY broad rule.

    My old Cavalier did 700+ miles to a tank once!

    Certainly better than equivalent Fords (when comparing the MK5 Astra to the Focus of the same generation, anyway)

    Well, I had to open the taps and let all 84 of those Japanese horses loose!

    Ran it mostly on veg oil (was in my days as a student nurse) and was the wrong side of 250k when I bought it.

    It's still running apparently, all these years later!

  • A friend has a 1600 zafira 09 plate says he gets 33ish mpg.
    My 206 gets about 30 if i play nice, Around silverstone it was 9mpg.

    Hmm may be good fuel consumption but think there is a prob with it somehwere along the lines in terms of petrol as it has just broken down..smelt really badly of it so have booked it in to be looked at.
