Instant heat for bathroom - is halogen any good?

Hi

I've got decent GCH but need advice on a good "instant" (preferably portable) heater for the bathroom, just for 10 minutes a day until the GCH kicks in (my GCH boiler is in the bedroom - it is safe - but the noise of it coming on wakes me up so I don't have it on at night). It's a big bathroom, open to the eaves, so it's vey chilly on winter mornings.

Are halogen heaters good for instant heat, and how close do you have to be to feel the benefit? I realise any form of electric heat is expensive...

You shouldnt put a portable heater of any variety in a bathroom, you should be looking for something like this...

http://www.hygienesuppliesdirect.com/products/prod151889?tkt=fr&utm_source=google&utm_medium=products&utm_campaign=productfeed Thats the cheapest I could find on the internet for you...

This website also has some useful info and a a range of heaters... http://www.heatinfrared.co.uk/Indoor%20Infra-red%20Heater.htm

They work the same but are designed for bathrooms and would be ideal for bathrooms that have no heating or your situation.

    Just google infrared bathroom heater.
