Although I haven't done the figures yet, your idea is echoing one that I have been chewing over for a couple of days - I'm wondering whether to try and pay off the small balance left on on of the cards but pondering the fact that Christmas is almost upon us so would I be better buying my dd's present? (still leaving two sons to buy for). Desperately want to do both but can't see that happening :rotfl:

Well I think I have no choice to be honest, so the mission should you choose to accept it.......:rotfl::rotfl:

I'll be watching every mouthful & keeping my eye on the prize to keep me motivated!!

    Good Luck :)

£4 to add today from the fruit and veg stall. 7 Orange pointed peppers, a huge bowl of cherry toms, 4 big portobellow mushrooms and 2lb of red onions. All £1 each so was quite happy with that.
Wish the market wasnt so busy and it wasnt pouring with rain or I would have gone to look at the meat van too but maybe thats a good thing..lol..

Spend day today, had to drive over to Winsford to take some stuff down to Mum and Dads static caravan so while we were heading that way we went to Northwich to peruse the charity shops. I'm not counting charity shop purchases but we did have snacks/lunch/drinks while there and then i nipped into Aldi on way home so that's £8.50 in total added on for todays food and grocery purchases. Hope you are all having a good weekend!

Cooking a lovely Beef Goulash tonight for some friends who are coming around to watch X factor - they are running a bit late so they will miss the start of the show. I hope I've managed to pull it off because BBC Goodfood was down before having 'intermittent technical problems' (seems to happen a lot recently!), so I had to cook from memory. It's up now, but I forgot the garlic so I've crushed some in and hope it is still alright.

Also went to C*stcutter because I'm baking some macaroons to go over to a friends for lunch tomorrow, and needed some eggs for £1.
I also got some N*polinta Fusilli pasta (500g) for half price for 54p. I've ran out of the 2kg bag of pasta from Mr T before  and needed some for a pasta bake next week. I only bought one bag but if you buy 4 it's only 16p more than the Mr T deal which was on. It's also much cheaper than anything I can see on Mysupermarket. Not sure if the deals are on at every C*stcutter but if it is it might be of interest to someone, since pasta seems to be so expensive nowadays! It's also quite good going in there, because I know I'll never be tempted to get much else - the fresh produce looks like it's been sitting there for weeks :p

Hope everyone has a good weekend...

Doing not to badly, still have a good stock in, so should just about get there this month. Its amazing how much you use up that possibly would be thrown out - scrapings in a jar, unearthing things from the back of cupboards or deep freeze. I have to update my signature with another £61.
good luck to everyone its downhill now to the end of the month.............where has the year gone!
