Probably the same as O2's - line rental X remaining months on contract + any outstanding call charges.
Oh - and a default is bad, although some networks are better than others at chasing the debt itself. I remember taking a call from a customer (ex-O2 customer service) about their new contract and stumbling across an old debt of £1650 they'd left dormant on a different account for over a year. I was popular with them as you could imagine. :rotfl:0 -
AFOS, I would go with CitySlickers' advice and contact the directors office.

Much better getting someone from the top chasing it down, than to frustratingly try to chase it up.
Good luck, but you will get this sorted without the need to cancel your d/d.

I have read on the Vodafone Forum that the ETF is the value of remaining line rental Exclusive of VAT?
Makes my cancellation fee less than the retail value of the handset. £372.49 plus VAT. It is listed on the first bill as equipment.0 -
Oh yeah there's something funny with VAT on service you haven't recieved, so I think that's right

I do not know how profitable a customer I am to them but I had £150 from Quidco for joining and then because Vodafone screwed up my number porting Vodafone credited me one month's line rental free as a way of saying sorry.
Next month is my first proper charged bill as my account has been way in credit as I paid the "cashback" to the bill and the "free" handset was detailed as £372.49 plus VAT.
My ETF is about the price of the handset now. I was actually going to buy the handset SIM free and just use a rolling 30 day tariff.
Why Ohhh Why did the mobile operators get rid of 12 month contracts - they were such a less sentence.0 -

Because the EU stuck it's nose in and forced EU call, text and roaming charged down. MobileCo's need to turn a profit so they upped other charged and extended contract lengths.
Still the EU say it's better for us now. Better for a few businessmen who never pay bills maybe, but not for the average user who only leaves the UK once or twice a year on holiday.0 -

Probably worth adding that if it goes to court and goes against you this will increase as court fee's will be added to the amount owing. They can easily be another £100 for a court case and enforcement fees are added to it.0 -

Hopefull it won't come to that now if I follow the advice on here.
And the ETF I have worked out to be less than £400 0
