but then i thought about all the money ive saved since i started cutting down on the booze since i came on the boards, and decided to 'reward' myself with the trainers:)

:T well done you, it's good to see the cash mounting. I'm amazed how we always seem to find money for booze:eek: So many benefits to cutting down/giving up.

Back on the wagon tonight. That's

    9AF for February and
1 for this week's challenge please marru.

Hope you're OK Shaggy and you, too, Pen.

I was up late yesterday so had to dash smiley-sleepy-bedtime-good-night.gif I was tempted, for about 5 minutes, last night to have a valentine drink but it passed :D
So I am on 13 AFDs.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

There is probably as many calores (or more ) in the chocolates but they don't give you a hangover:D

Shaggy - still on 9 but please can I increase my target from 18 to 22? Going on holiday, but I'm going to have some AFDs then too, and if I have the higher target, that will keep my resolve. :j

    Done :D

    Good Luck :T

  • Good morning all

Marru - As Maman says, we'll watch you like Hawks. Alcohol and AD's don't mix well at all so concentrate on letting the AD's do thier job. You are doing so well on the AF front I'm sure you will have no trouble.:)

Much better night last night - Piglet only woke up once coughing and went straight back to sleep. Still coughing today and still coldy so will be despatching off to my Mums again today (she doesn't mind as we think the cold he's got is the one thats doing the rounds of the family and she's had it already:))

Am looking forward to next week as its half term and I have the week off. Sun/mon we have a trip to Milton Keynes planned so Stepson can go snowboarding. I was tempted to cancel after everything thats happened lately, but we would still have to pay for the Premier Lodge and, to be honest, it would upset Piglet, so I'll be leaving stepson and OH to it and I'll take Piglet off to the cinema or something. Part of my new regime - be nice to the kids but focus on Piglet :D

    11 please Shaggy!

Made a nice meal last night but steered clear from booze aisle thus saving me some pennies and gaining an AF day!

Blooming busy day ahead and looking forward to watching the Brits tonight with an Orange Squash and Warm Milk near bedtime! Rock and Roll! Ok, maybe not but much better for me. Hey, let's break the mould....my evening plan is the REAL DEAL Rock and Roll! :rotfl:

    Have a good day all!

    Lala x
    :);) AF since 10.04.11 :):D

Morning everyone. Just been catching up (I shouldn't stay away for so long!) and there are so many twists and turns for everyone in a week! But lots of smileys on the scoreboard, so well done to everyone!:j

It wasn't a great week for me AF-wise, but finally managed 1 more AF day yesterday so thats 2 for Feb please Shaggy. Rubbish, I know:o, but I'm going to keep trying.

I've started to keep a log of my vices, health stats (weight and blood pressure) and exercise to see if scary numbers help my attempts (or just depress me:(). I'm quite measurement oriented and its the only reason I've managed to lose the weight in the last 3 years, so maybe it will help after all.

Anyway, have a good day everyone and I'm going to try for AF today (planned a trip to the gym during normal "bells" time...).
    :T
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p

I think keeping records is an excellent idea. I find if you've got a visual reminder it can act as a boost and/or help you to see patterns before taking action! It's not that we don't know but it's suprising what you can ignore if you try hard enough:D
