Just dashing in to say Hi! and say I've 2 more AFDs in the bag. My plan is to be AF for rest of the month/ until at least Wednesday. So it's an AF weekend for me.

Ditto RA. "I've got a cold, I need a medicinal brandy" - easy:o, did it and still do (but hopefully not so much soon). Don't feel bad, it's the mind that's in control. Everyone here has helped me know that I'm not alone and that helps me feel better about myself, which means I know I have other ways to pick-me-up.:cool:
Be gentle on yourself, accept the past and just try to improve slowly. Life's a long road and everyone takes wrong turns - we've just got a bit of a dodgy sat nav.:p

I'm unsure how to get started but really want to as the place i'm in at the moment isn't a good one. Hoping today will be my first AF day in a long time.
I can't sleep and i know i'm going to be very tired today, been awake since 2am.

Morning everyone and welcome Cuppa:hello: - You've come to the right place. I only joined 10 days ago and I've already got 3 AF days under my belt:) which beats the previous couple of years!
It always raises my spirits coming on here, especially when the bells are ringing for a drink. And if you can join in the challenges, it really adds some extra resolve.

Thank you everyone for your welcoming greetings and for inspiring me to join in. I don't think it will be easy as old habits are hard to break, but its definitely time too. I read here one day at a time, so even though i'd like to do a week or more, today i'm aiming for today!
