BTW, Jo, nice and quiet at work during half term - how's the irritating Mr Kerrrchinnng??? Or was that only over summer holidays??!!Jan: 24/23 Feb: 21/22 March: 24/250 -
Good Morning Ladies and Gents.
Hope you're all happy and well.
I'm two weeks sober, which feels good.
Had my CBT session yesterday (after not seeing him for a month..), which went brilliantly.
Also had a two hour, twenty minute interview on Tuesday (group thing online, followed by a one - to - one interview) and was offered the job yesterday
Training starts in eleven days time.
This means I'll have an extra £300 - 400 this next month, to throw at Moneyshop debt
I am in desperate need of a new / upgraded second - hand PC now though (as it's working from home, and needs a reliable PC), as mine is on it's way to computer heaven..
Do any of you know of a reliable, reasonably priced refurbished PC supplier online?
It feels great to be sleeping well again, and back in a healthy routine.
Have been getting out every day this week too
Congrats Jo. Great to read that you're sober and are feeling better. Keep it up!
Big Hugs to all,
Sim xx0 -

Hi, Sim
That's a tough one there are loads advertising and I guess its a case of combing through to find the one you want and then looking for feedback forums.
Thats great news on the job front, I hope it all goes well for you.
Well done on the afness.
RNOf all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I know nothing about it sim but I'm sure there's a forum on here somewhere about techie things where you could ask questions. Got to be worth a try.0 -

Aaagh well done on day 1. You now know you can do it. Are you going to try again today? It will be a little easier now you know you can.
Thanks for all your comments re sleep. I think I received some combined vibes because I slept much better last night. I feel better for it this morning.
Jo 3's please.
Shaggy 22 for October please.

Thanks for reply. I'm still trying how to reply on this thread!
Sober nearly two years now - first begun with AA. I needed to change me on the inside - the fears, the demons and all those insecurites. It's a life-long journey requiring daily diligence which can feel tiresome at times, but as soon as I remember the dark days of booze and waiting for the next drink, each day feels like a blessing!
As I saw someone else write earlier I can only say what works for me and agree that alcohol-free drinks are still maintaining the association and too close to the real thing.
Those drunken years resulted in chaotic behaviour and crazy spending ..
It really DOES get better - the old habits do pale tho never forgotten. Maybe most importantly I am learning to like myself and also the art of Gratitude. Grateful for all that I have ..0 -
Congratulations on 2 weeks sober!! A day at a time ...0
