Just got back from trip to Uni up in Leeds. 14 hours from setting off to getting home! It was worth it though as DS2 loved it and I got the chance to see where he might be going next year.

My DD1 there now, in first year, and LOVING it!!!!! So glad she made the decision to choose Leeds, even though we went all around the UK to make the decision!
Doing well on the cutting down front - feel great today!!!!

SOS - Glad to hear your DD1 is enjoying Uni so much. Leeds semed like a great place and my DS2 can't wait to go. I'm struggling a bit with the idea of him leaving home though!
Well done on your cutting down and feeling great today.
I did have a few drinks last night and and after looking forward to it so much through the week - I just didn't enjoy it. That's good in one way and wierd in another as my aim has been to cut down to just having a few drinks on a Saturday or the odd social occasion. I feel my attitude is changing towards it though and I am not getting much pleasure from it.
What is going on with young people and booze? My DS2 has been invited to an 18th birthday thing which is called a pub golf tournament. A mini-bus takes them to 18 pubs where they have a drink in each. The drinks are all listed for each pub. Each drink is different and the idea is to drink them as fast as you can. Complete madness

Stag parties in Tallinn, drinking tequila from a half naked woman laying on the bar, out of her navel, then sucking a lemon from her mouth...
