    Overly harsh I think.

Your opinion is noted and given the consideration it deserves.

The OP didn't cause prices to crash, neither did they evict the previous owners.

    There we differ.

My view is that the bank has a moral (in addition to a legal) obligation to get the best price possible for a distressed family from the bottom feeders who sniff around the misery and despair of those who have lost their homes.

You think the OP did cause the house price crash and evict the previous owner?

Bad karma to offer below the asking price of a repo. Just think of how you are feasting on some distressed vendor's misery. I would never low ball on a repo, as to me it is really just profiting at some one else's misery. Glad to hear that some one else has outbid you

That is ridiculous; it is up to the vendor to try to get the best deal possible and the buyer to get the best price they can. Suggesting that the buyer should be more generous than needed is foolish; if the vendor can't get a better price then that's their hard luck and if they can then fine.

I am sure the bank don't feel any emotion towards you either. However, they do have an obligation to get the best price possible for the distressed vendor, and in this instance they are doing just that. I feel not a jot of sympathy for you. If you feel the property is worth more than your original bid, then you know what to do.

Otherwise, move on and try to find another bankrupt family whose misery you can gloat over...

Gosh, you sound a pleasant person! If you haven't got something constructive to say, why bother????

Indeed ... the vendor now has an offer of £1k more than the OP has offered.

What is ridiculous is the OP coming on here wailing about open market economics.

Sounds like someone needs to grow a spine...

We bought a repo - but previous owner was an EA so felt no guilt at all.

If you don't care about distressed vendors and decent folks who have lost their home through repossession, why bother posting on here?

Why not hang around with your fellow vultures preying off others misery?

Good for you. Did you enjoy throwing his / her family out on the street? Hope you hunted them down so you could gloat at their misery
  • It is not the OP who is resonsible for the vendor having had their home repossessed. You are making an assumption that all those who have their homes repossessed are decent folk and that those who try to buy a repossession are otherwise.

I was merely making an observation of your rather unpleasant manner towards the op. I am not a vulture; I am merely commenting on your unnecessary unpleasant attitude towards the op.
  • Chill out nollag!!! The vendor was a !!!!!
