I can't believe some of the advice the OP has received on this thread. Water pistols, buckets of bleach and throwing eggs?
OP, you start anything like that and you could potentially make the situation a whole lot worse. My SIL is currentley away at her Majestys pleasure for being a thug. It started in a similar fashion - she and her mates causing trouble, messing up peoples gardens, backchatting people who tried to stop her. She got an ASBO and wore it with pride. The police were activley involved, but she couldn't lose face, she said.
Seven months ago, she was asked by a homeowner to move from a garden wall. She refused and the female homeowner got quite angry and put the hosepipe on the girls. There were loads of people hanging around and they all laughed. My SIL saw this as a major loss of "respect" (ridiculous I know) and she and 2 other girls went back later that night at around half 11. They rang the doorbell and when the woman answered, that dragged her outside and beat the hell out of her.
The homeowner identified them and it went to court. One got let off, she had never been in trouble before. One got 6 months and my SIL got 18 months. I'm not saying that the girls you have a problem with are anything like that. But you don't know that for sure. You cannot deal with the situation the way some posters on here have suggested.
Keep in touch with the police and get some cctv sorted out (maybe your LL will go halves?), then pass the evidence onto the police. These days, the most important thing is to stay safe.0

I can't believe you'd consider the mosquito, do any of your neighbours have children (well behaved or otherwise?) They are entitled to live in their homes without your noise pollution.
As for the teenagers, if you aren't prepared to move (which is the option I'd take if I were a tenant) then try wet paint signs outside for a while. Your landlady also could make your garden wall less inviting by putting spike-type railings on the top or planting prickly shrubs on the border of the garden.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

If you don't get anywhere with the LEA you could go to the papers who will put pics in the paper and perhaps some of the parents will recognise their wee cherubs.
The stink bombs sound interesting, the dog barking may just encourage them to try to wind the dog up and the BBguns will get you charged if you fire them.If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I think everything depends on age in this thread.
Punching, slapping, assault with bleach, stink bombs, BB guns, anti social noise, is obviously acceptable, and even to be encouraged?
Are we saying it's acceptable providing you are older than the person you are doing it to, and if you are "harder" you'll gain their respect?
The only problem with following down the road to anarchy is you have to be prepared to take it all the way, so the kids are a bit anti-social, you response with violence, they escalate further....
What if the kids keep on going?0

I would try talking to them first. I always do with the local kids- I'd rather have them on my side than getting vindictive some night and keying my car.
There are times when tougher measures are called for, but try maybe talking to them first. Problem using tougher measures is you'll get their back up, and there's no point starting something.
The only severe problem I had (and TBH, was quite funny at times) was a few local kids running past my gate and shouting at the dogs. Rough Collie would get the fur backed up, and turn into the furry equivalent of a ping-pong ball (blustery big thing, flees from spiders), while the Lab just lay yawning with an eyebrow raised.
Had a word with them as I was worried about neighbours getting annoyed- no real joy. Had a word again, and MAY have mentioned the Collie bore a slight resemblance to a wolf, and of course, were-wolves always remember their foes during full moons.
Very quiet, respectful children for at least a year. 0 0
