sim only deal and data question.

as mentioned before i am thinking of the desire or iphone sim free option.
then purchasing a sim only deal as i dont want a 2 year contract.

the vodafone iphone tariff is obviously great for the iphone, 600 min, unlimited texts, 1024 mb data allowance and 1gb wifi bt openzone. £20 per month - 12 month deal.

is there a sim only deal more suitable to the htc desire? dont think the iphone one will be ok as htc cannot access wifi at bt openzone so im told.

on the vodafone site it has iphone and blackberry tariffs.
can you offer some advice/info please for me.
or does anyone have a sim only deal with a htc???

i am with o2 now but they only offer 500mb allowance for £20, i have my pac code and i just need a descent deal.

£20 will get you a 30-day plan with T-Mobile which includes 600mins and 500 texts plus unlimited internet as a flexible booster. You would have to check if they'd be willing to give you the 3gb FUP on the deal if you were using it in a Desire, though. As it's a sim-only deal they might restrict use to 1gb or even 500mb.

t mobile is not great reception here, im looking at o2 and vodafone really.
i want at least 1gb download allowance really too. the nearest i can see is the iphone sim on vodafone. but will it be ok in a htc????
i realise i will not be abble to use the bt openzone included in the tariff as its for iphones only = is this a big deal? i probably wouldnt use this anyway.
any advice is appreciated as i will have to commit for 12 months.
i would like to know ideally if any htc users have a sim only deal.
