Help! Mobile Phones

ARGH DP kindly informed me this morning his phone bill has shot up to £180, last month it was £90 which was enough of a shock.....around £60 previously which is WAY more than I spend but hey.
Now, I pretty much control his bank account, but his phone is ultimately under his control, but something clearly needs to change. Does anyone know if you can put the account on hold these days once the bill gets passed a certain amount?
Please, don't ask how he has done this, I know that bit!

  • DP?

Anyway.. i don't know the answer, but have you looked at contacting the provider, and ask to increase the number of free minutes on the contract? They usually don't mind pushing you up to a more expensive contract - it'll save you in the long term

It's possible her partner is making calls outside the allowance perhaps 09xx or 08xx calls, and increasing the allowance won't help.

If this is the case, mum2b, you can call the network and ask for a Premium Rate and international bar be added to the account.

lol DP is all of the above but darling partner predominantly!!!!
Yes that is indeed the case, 09xx I will get Dp to phone provider to see if we can put this bar in, trouble is we don't have a home phone line as can't afford the connection fee, so sometimes we have to call 08 numbers.....

just ask for them to place a premium and international bar on the line, it will only restrict 09xx and international. Normal 08xx like 0845 and 0870 can still be dialled.

Note that its the DP's phone and not the poster, hence without him giving permission for the account to be changed, nothing will be done.

mum2b did say she would get him to phone, I presume there is agreement between them with regard to the problem.
