I have taken a video on my digital camera of a friends golf swing. I have loaded it onto Picasa on my computer but now need to get it to him either by e-mail or load it onto a CD to post. My attempt at emailing only succeeded in sending a still image.
Please can anyone advise how I can e-mail the video or if this is not possible load onto a CD.
Thanks
Mike

Picasa does not store anything, it indexes your video and picture files, just create an email and attach the video file (in my documents or wherever). That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Thank you dogmary & penrhyn,
This has highlighted another problem.
I do not seem to have a default e-mail address and do not know how to create one.
I used to be with tesco.net for internet connection and used outlook express for e-mail.
I now have post office broadband and when I try to use on line forms they need to connect to outlook express via tesco.
Please could anyone offer advice to sort this confusing state of affairs.

Could I suggest that you take this opportunity to set up a web mail account, GMail being my favorite. Its got the advantage of intergrating with Picasa.
Regarding your default mailing options, I assumes you have been given an email address to use with your postoffice broadband. It should be simply a matter of going into the accounts section of Outlook Express and make the PO account your default, its up to you whether you delete your old accounts. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
As suggested by penrhyn why not setup a web based email account, then if you change your internet provider again you will not have to change email address.
You can sign up for one at www.gmail.com or www.hotmail.com0 -
Thanks for help so far.
Have now opened a Gmail account and have a Gmail email address. Tried to attach the Picasa file to an email intended for my friend but the file failed to attach to the email.
People of my age should not be allowed to have computers!

how big is the video? gmail has a 25MB attachment limit, hotmail has a 25MB but can send files upto 50MB if you use windows skydrive to store the file.
one other thing to note is that some email providers cannot recieve large file attachments (if he has gmail or hotmail then it would be fine)
you could also use a service like dropbox or windows skydrive to store the file and then send him a link to the file so he can download it.0 -
Hi Jayme1,
File size is 52Kb.

Further to my last post.
It appears the size of the file is not 52Kb.
One file I need to send is around 13Mb and the other is 23.8Mb.
This is within the limits prescribed above. The problem is I just have no idea how to proceed. Find it much easier to knit fog.

Recipient of the files is on ntlworld.

the file sizes are fine for you but (I'm 99.9999% sure) that ntlworld can only recieve and send attachments that are 10MB (even though they have just changed to googlemail as host).
You can always use dropbox or skydrive to upload the files and send him the link to download the files (I have used both and both work very well) (I think you can also use google docs to upload any file and send the link in the same way)
or you could also get him to sign up for a gmail email and then sending the files should work a.ok0
