Cheap Flights (Timing for getting them cheap)

Hi all
Looking to book flights for next year august 2011 to italy , have looked on skyscanner but nothing that far in advance.

Is there another sight i could try ? how far in advance ar flight prices announced ?

Scheduled airlines release them roughly 330 days or 11 months in advance I believe. LCCs in batches for their winter and summer schedules about 6 months in advance.

Low costs tend to have "summer" and "winter" timetables which cover April to October & October to April. They release them about 5-6 months before the first day of the particular season - so for flights next August they should start appearing in October or November.

If you have a particular airline in mind sign up for their emails so you'll get told when they become available - but also check here as they have been known to be a tadge tardy with the emails
