Have been with Sky for 10 years and the payments just kept getting bigger. Looked into it and found I originally had Sky Family Pack, which has now been broken up into various different packs, including packs I never watch such as childrens pack and arts pack.
If you've been with them for a long time, check up on what you do watch and cancel the others. I just saved £4 a month :j

Sky are frustratingly bad for existing customers. I've known plenty of people who've left and come back to a better deal. After 6 years service the only thing they gave me was a free installation on moving and that was after much complaining. Worth a try if you're an existing customer anyway.0

How long would you have to leave for before you could return as a new customer?0 -
no loyalty in life anymore I've found,,,the jobs and products and services I have had, sad world.
sign up for whatever product and on the 11 month or final month of your contract call to threaten to cancel. Most companies have 'customer retention' teams and will try and keep u. I have done this with sky since the year dot and saved tons.PLAY GOOD!
trolls and abusers will simply be added to my ignore list - you can do it too! its under USER CP

Find anything you can to complain about. Send an email to them saying you are leaving for Virgin. Google how much money they made in 2008 and 2009 and email them with the details about how much they have made and how you struggle to justify the increase they have recently applied to every Sky account and how you will struggle to pay that especially with the increased VAT coming in Jan.
I did that and got offered half price for 12 months. I know a fair few others that its worked for as well.0
