Why am I getting no viewings?

If you are willing to accept £150k put it on for £149,950k - sounds daft but worked for us when we were selling our house - people see the £14.... bit! (we lowered our price and the viewings went right up!). I would be a bit put off by the "from" bit.0

The number of mortgages has fallen to a 10 year low.
False.
The number of mortgages being issued is still around double what it was in early 2009.The amount of money per mortgage has fallen.
Marginally, and again, still far higher than the average last year.About 26,000 properties per week are coming on the market but only about 40,000 mortgages per month are being offered - most of those to people remortgaging.
False.
The number of new mortgages being issued for purchase is around 45,000 to 50,000 per month. Still double what it was in early 2009, and this figure does not include remortgages.
And the number of new properties coming on to the market each week is now reducing rapidly. There is a recession on,
False.
The recession ended some time ago, last quarters economic growth was the highest in many years.people are afraid of losing their jobs.
True.Numerous press reports say that house asking prices are over-valued.
As they did in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and indeed earlier in 2010.
However in only one of those years did house prices end the year lower than they started it.Take your pick.

Funny, thats obviously why no viewings then? Maybe the OP should put the price up to £200K and it will be snapped up?

Probably not much help too you but I'll give you my opinion anyway....:)
The flats nice, decor fine but the pictures could do with taking again. I'm struggling with the areas that the pictures are showing. e.g
Picture 2 says living area but theres no furniture to suggest this
Picture 3 - I agree that this is dark and the fridge is the first thing I see because it sticks out, no worktop space. Would the photo have been better taken from the other side of the kitchen a different angle from the other kitchen picture?
picture 5 - Id pull the furniture away from the wall a little and not bunch it together so. It looks a bit cramped, but otherwise looks good.
picture 6 - too dark and taken too low down
picture 7 - a picture of a bed - Wheres the fitted wardrobes ?
Plus a picture of the private section in rear garden wouldn't go a miss
It may sound petty but the key is getting the people in to view in the first place.
Good luckI can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

No they aren't.

Sorry but I think all the pictures are dreadful and don't do it justice at all. The layout looks muddly. Get some new ones done from different angles, and as previously suggested get a floor plan added.
The kitchen would benefit from white wall cupboards, if you really want to improve the chances of a sale. Also is there any way you can fit the fridge in better as it appears to stick out, and there isn't much floor space anyway.
Could the little alcove under the eaves be dressed as an office area?
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I am probably one of your potential viewers so here are my thoughts.
Are there two or three floors to the property and is it the top?
No windows in the kitchen or bathroom which makes it very dark and unappealling.
I cant see any walls or anything to seperate the living space.
Is there only one window to the property? It looks very dark.
Where is the picture of garden?
Near to broadmead estate.
Too many questions and too many negatives for me to even consider booking a viewing.
If my budget was £150k and in your postcode then i'd probably book a viewing for these

I had a dark pine kitchen and the EA advised me to lighten it. I got a product called Plasticote - a spray plastic/acrylic type paint and did the whole kitchen. (wear a mask) I have to say it did brighten things up enormously and...I sold a couple of weeks ago and now looking to move to another home.0

I try to avoid talking about style as a lot of time the owners can't do anything about it, but it looks neat just needs bringing firmly into this century.
I agree that the lounge lacks pictures of any lounge furniture. The furniture that you can see is place apologetically and suggests that there isn't actually anywhere to put furniture when I think there is. Also the carpet - you can see a crease in it - looks like it needs replacing because there wasn't enough underlay placed underneath.
The curtain behind the bed - that is just not right. It needs sealing off with doors or the bed at least turning 90 degrees to back onto a solid wall. The current positioning gives me the creeps and again suggests that there is nowhere to put any furniture.
All the black/brown edging really defines those ceilings, windows etc. and brings far too much attention to the restricted head room. They need to be white to blend in.
The kitchen units need painting white or cream. It is far too dark and the colour of the wood is dated although the units are in good nick. Retile in something fashionable and change the worktop. I would also remove the wall units from above the breakfast bar to make it truly open plan - pointless in a one bed flat and restrictive. Move them to the back wall if you have to.
The raised bath with carpet - really? Needs either tiling or ripping out and a bath panel.
I remember your place and it doesn't surprise me that you sold first but although it looks like I've really slated it, I think your gf's flat has good bones and proper potential - would only take a day or two to sort out and get it mint. And she needs an agent that will use a wide angle lens (more important than anything I've already said) and use a floorplan.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ummm, yes they are.
(Although to be fair, I was a couple of months out on the trough)
The point remains, mortgage approvals for new purchase remain at pretty much double the levels they were during the crash.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
