Do you think that Martin Lewis would allow people to give advice on his website that would get people into trouble? Do not allow yourself or other people to be scammed. If you have money to waste, pay the scammers. If not, hold your nerve and think of a good use for the money you will save.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Read the sequence of letters the link to which is posted earlier.
Debt Collectors will not turn up at your door as that would be harassment on their part and you could take them to court.0 -
A different coloured paper....now that IS serious.
When they tried this with me, I sent a letter asking for the next one to be in Blue because I already had a white one and a red one and I wanted to make a Union Jack with the kids. B"""stards never sent another one!!!!Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those affected (Benjamin Franklin) JFT96...YNWA0 -

A debt collector is a man off the street. He is the same as the man selling poppies, although has less morals. He has the same powers as the man on the corner selling the big issue. He is a newspaper seller on your way to work.
You get the picture? He has no powers over and above anyone else. Do not confuse debt collectors with bailiffs.
The debt collector that does contact you will be the guy sitting at the next desk, or the same guy "changing hats" on a wednesday.
Do not respond to anything they send, and more importantly do not worry.0 -
Thanks for all comments they are all helpful.0

Debt collectors will only knock on your door if you live round the corner from their portakabin. There's no money in wasting petrol knocking on doors, especially when the person is likely to be out.
They just send letters.
If one did turn up you can either invite them in for a cuppa or tell them to go forth and multiply. They have no powers. They are not bailiffs.0 -
Hi just a quick update got 3rd letter this morning from debt collector with threat of court or pay £238. Still going to ignore. Does anybody know how long this goes on for and do they ever do court?0
