Also you may want to check out:
- Jet2 - flights from £9.99 all over Europe
- Ryanair - similar offers as Jet2
- Bmibaby have some cracking offers from £9.99 & fly from Birmingham
- Easyjet now do mini-break & holiday packages, so check their deals section.
- Over at lastminute.com there are city breaks from £85pp
- Dublin is gorgeous is very easy & cheap to get to, so you will no doubt see lots of offers for a cheap weekend, but it is VERY expensive when your there, £10 a pint!
- Krakow is gorgeous & dirt cheap! I averaged 5Zl (szoltis) to £1, but the prices are the same as here, eg. meal for two with wine = 40Zl but with the exchange rate it was less than a tenner! Easyjet had the cheapest flights last time I looked & hotels are crazy cheap! We stayed at the Hotel Eden about 160Zl but = £38 a night! Has a medieval centre, very picturesque (bit like Prague) just Google images of the Market Square and Cloth Hall
must warn you thought it is freeeeeezing!
- You may want to check out roomsnet i think they are based in the US but have an office in Oxford. I've used them loads of times before, and they offer big discounts on hotelrooms worldwide! Even today I tried to book a room at the Thistle Hotel in Manchester for next Saturday, and was told they were fully booked, this was confirmed by the screenscapers I use. The only room I could find was £117, room only. Logged into Roomsnet just to see if they had anything, and I got a double room & breakfast for £62 (booked less than an hour ago) when the receptionist had told me not 20 minutes earlier that they were fully booked! :rotfl:

too. regardsrags2riches wrote: »Hey,
I want to do something special for my girlfriends 21st in October during the weekend of the 16th.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally my budget will be up to £500 for the both of us and I'm looking at weekend getaways either at home or abroad for 2 to 3 nights (fri-sun or sat-sun)
Many thanks!0 -
I'm biased because I was born over that way and went to uni there, but I'd definitely recommend York. It has good shopping (both chains and more unusual offbeat places), lots of things to see like the Minster and the Yorkshire Museum, lots of interesting history, and some really lovely scenery if you can get a bit further out of town.
Or what about Edinburgh? Again, good shopping, lots of sights to see, plus the historical stuff and the landscapes.
If you want to go abroad, as something a bit different, I'd suggest Munich. Not that expensive to fly - we went with easyJet and it cost about £100 each and took just over two hours - really easy to walk round, loads of really interesting history, some beautiful scenery round about, nice shops and good food."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Bath-Absolutely Beautiful in my opinion and soooo much to see.0

Have you tried looking at availability for short eurostar breaks to Paris, the 1 night for 3 offers? Try Great Getaways.com
If they have availbility, the breaks start at £99 per person, so you just need to get your bums down to London for the eurostar. There are plenty of ways to do Paris on the cheap, cafe bars, walks along the Seine, museums. Just keep your GF away from the designer shops! lolLovin Boots and other bargainous places!0
