You could try an Antony Worrall-Thompson recipe with a million calories per pie. Its call Perfect Snickers Pie (but like you I had a 'glut' of mars bars so used them instead). I've adapted mine to buying a pastry case rather than making one.
140g mascarpone
110g soft cheese
50g caster sugar
3 eggs
5 mars bars, roughly chopped
Beat mascarpone, cheese and sugar together until smooth
Beat in eggs, one at a time
Fold in chopped mars bars
Pour into pastry case
Put in pre-heated oven 200C/400/gas 6 for 10 mins
Reduce heat to 180C/350/gas 4 for a further 25 mins until golden and set.
Allow to cool before serving.
Depending on the size of your pastry case (the above ingredients fit an 8inch case) you could either halve the ingredients and use a smaller case or buy two of the smaller pastry cases.
BEWARE - THIS IS SHEER INDULGENCE ON A PLATE AND NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED:eek: It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.:kisses3:0 -
Our local chip shop batters them and fries them!!!!!
Not tried them though. Never quite fancied that but have been assured they are lovely!Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -
melt them over hot water, with the possible addition of a splash of hot milk if the last little bits don't melt, then use them to top any chocolate cake.0
