Hi All,
As the gurus of all things culinary, I have a small challenge!
I have "acquired" (dont ask me how!) 3 multipacks of mars bars!
Now is there anything I can make with them, maybe a larger cake perhaps, as opposed to just eating mars bars all the live long day!
Many thanks xx

Very fattening, but delicious -
Mars bar cake.
3oz butter
3 mars bars
3 cups rice crispies
200g milky bar (or any white chocolate)
extra 1 oz butter
Melt the 3oz butter and the mars bars together. Mix with the ric crispies and spread into a tin.
Melt the 1 oz butter, with the white chocolate, then spread on top of the mars bar mixture.
Place into a fridge until hard, then cut into squares.0 -
Yes! My favourite cake ever is made with Mars Bars! Melt them down with a chunk of butter and a few tablespoons of golden syrup, then pour in rice crispies, corn flakes, crushed shreddies or any other cereal you fancy. Mix and put into a cake tin or some sort of tray, and chill until set.

You could freeze them and then chop them up small and add to good quality ice cream.....:drool:0

Or there is always the famous deep fried way of eating them....
1 Mars bar
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup cornflour
1 pinch baking soda
milk or beer
oil (for deep frying)
1. Chill the chocolate bar by keeping it in the fridge, but don't freeze it.
2. Mix the flours and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) together.
3. Add milk (traditional) or beer (which gives a lighter result) until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream.
4. Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but don't allow to smoke.
5. Remove wrapper from chilled chocolate bar.
6. Coat completely in batter.
7. Carefully lower into hot oil and fry until golden brown.0 -

Melt them down and use them as an ice cream sauce?
If you contact Mars' consumer service department they might be able ot send you a recipe leaflet. They used to have them.
The Mars switchboard number is 01753 550055. You can ask for Consumer Service or Consumer Relations.0 -
