Can anyone point me in the right direction , I have searched e-bay but can't find anything like it..
I have a full set of Hard binders of Stars Wars Magazines that my son left in my loft over 10yrs ago I just wonder if they are worth anything before I dump them.. I know people still collect Star Wars stuff but as I say I can't find anything to compare them to on e-bay
edit: now realise its the Official Star Wars Fact File Collection 2002-2005 De-Agostini
thanks

This is exactly what ebay is for. Put them up with no reserve for 10 days and let the Star Wars enthusiasts decide what they are worth.
My guess is that they will be worth more than you think.
You have nothing to lose!0 -
Most of the Star Wars stuff that is worth anything substantial is stuff from the 70s/80s from the original trilogy (and before George Lucas lost all sense.)
It may be worth a list but I wouldn't expect to get too much for them.0 -
Thanks both, I did find a reference to the collection on e-bay but seems to be individual mags.. so I'll probably do as you suggest and put it on anyway as a whole collection#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

There are loads of individual magazines on Ebay some selling some not. The general price seems to be approx 99p per copy. There are some speculative ASKING priced buy it now's for the earlier Star Wars mags at around eight pounds but no evidence they are selling at this price.
It maybe there are no collections for sale as they are likely to be heavy and difficult to ship.0 -
Yep they certainly are heavy all 6/7 binders full.... I just remembered we have a Star Wars shop locally (yep I was surprised when I noticed it ) maybe I'll take a squidge at their website..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Had a look at completed listings & nothing had sold. Might be better off with a car boot? No postage costs.0

Maybe I'll just dump them... not really into carboots thanks anyway#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I was given some of those magazines a while ago and I couldn't sell them at all, not even at a car boot. Such a shame as the original owner had paid a fortune for them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You are right Soolin, some of these magazine collections cost a fortune for the whole set and take ages to accumulate. It's a shame they don't hold their worth.
If you are considering binning them you could put them on freecycle. On my local one someone just gave away a series of StarTrek videos (snapped up within a few hours).
Take care
CazI must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -

Funny you should that he also left all his Star Wars Vids.. I think he was collecting the books from 2002 to 2005 and it cost nearly £300 when I worked it out... but he was young and foolish back then , now he is more careful with his earnings..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
