I'm looking for tyres for our Aygo - £30ish quid is about right by buying on line and I can get them fitted for £6 each.

A lazy colleague - who always moans he is skint - went to Kwikfit and happily paid £170 for a pair. He also forgot he has a new spare so he could have swapped the best old tyre for the spare and bought one new tyre and saved about £130.
  • I've always used mytyres.co.uk

Very pleasant customer service and very good value tyres.

Unless he bought exactly the same tyres as is supplied with the car (in which case KF did see him coming nicely) - it's not usually a good idea to mix brands on the same axle is it?

Depends what car he has, prices vary massively depending on size.
Budget tyre's for mine start at £50 each and that really is the cheapest.

Also perhaps he didn't want cheap nasty tyre's fitted to his car, some people do realise the importance of good tyre's, but some people just go buy the cheapest of the cheap.
    Not all tyre's are equal.

Im skint and I still refused to buy cheapo budget tyre's, I ended up paying £320 for 4 Avon ZV5's when I could have had cheap rubbish for £200.
I want good levels of grip and I don't want something that screams in every corner.

I always think "what if the guy in front stops suddenly and he's got decent tyre's?"

The last time I bought tyres I was offered ditchfinders at £51 or Kumho Ecsta KU31s (not omfg fantastic but not terrible either) for £62 a corner.

    Wasn't really a decision imo
