New Brake pads & discs - Now Brakes feel unresponsive

I've used Halfords pads and discs, Mintex pads, and Vauxhall oe ones from the dealers.
No great difference really, the dealer discs came coated to bed them in faster, the Halfords ones didn't, so maybe you didn't bed them in correctly before slamming them on.
