Anyway i do believe the buyer is a moron (based on the ops side of the story) someone who threatens to come to your house and can't send a polite message is nothing but a moron or putting it politely a thug!
We only have the OP's word that this is what really happened and people do often twist events to make themselves look like a victim. I'm not directly saying that's what happened here, but we do only have one side of the story, and that side is coming from the person trying to get out of refunding a buyer for something that they mis-sold as working when it wasn't, slightly moronic in itself. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
I would say the same to a buyer who came here looking for answers.
Cash on collection usually means the buyer has the chance to test it. In this instance it looks like it was difficult to do so and the seller really should have tested it before listing.
I think you need to look objectively at the facts."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

The OP is probably in the front garden buried under a broken TV lol.0

I don't think anyone could put it any better than this!We only have the OP's word that this is what really happened and people do often twist events to make themselves look like a victim. We have only one side of the story and that is from a seller who subsequently tells us he has a high feedback score and 8 year's eBay experience, which suggests he knew what he was selling and how to sell it.
Perhaps the OP would like to show us the listing, then we can objectively judge whether the description was honest?"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

That is a very good idea, that would be objective.
I dont agree the buyer should have become threatening, but I have to say, I would be pretty anoyed if I had bought a TV and it didnt work...Then again, I am too cynical, if the listing said 'worked last time we used it but not tested recently' I would smell something fishy and not even make a bid.0 -
