Either let them collect them or say you'd not seen any ladders in the garden perhaps they were pinched/or that there were some nasty rusty ladders you threw out.0

How were they awkward?
Personally I'd let them come and get the ladders then they're out of your lives for ever.Pants0 -
This happened to us and we still have the ladders 15yrs down the line, they never actually came back for them... but if they want them then to avoid aggro I'd give a time and leave them out the front so you don't even have to speak...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I don't think this is right David. We had to sue the vendors of a house because of everything that was left. It cost us £5000 to remove just 'stuff' It was like a house in Grimebusters. They then asked for some unspecified items back.
Our solicitors wrote to them to tell them in no uncertain terms that we were under absolutely no obligation to give them anything back. (Partly because because we were well into clearing it all by then)Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I moved into a house and their main wedding photo were left. They were selling because of their divorce, they didnt ask for it back0

Our vendors left stuff - some of it ok, some manky, some belonging to other people. Thet also left the house a tip. This is what we did:
Threw the manky carpet away
Told the neighbour they had a week to collect their motorbikes.
Let the removal van man take the (rotting) speedboat away in exchange for payemnt for the move.
About two months later they rang up and wanted their manky carpet and rotted speedboat back. They were told that we'd bought the property 'sold as seen' (complete with all the 'forgot to mention' problems'); solicitor backed us up, and we never heard another word.Reason for edit? Thank you for your replies. We're not bothered if they feel badly to us as we want nothing to do with them. Most of our new neighbours dislike them in any case so I think we'll just keep mum ( and the ladders) and wait and see what happens. Funny how they haven't asked for their old wardrobe in the shed back!!!!!

Or contact them say they can have the ladders on the provision they remove the old wardrobe in the shed..... :rotfl:Was the shed on the AST? Maybe they can take that too?
You are under no obligation to do anything should you choose. Chuck any letters straight in the bin or let them have the stuff back on your terms.... Your call.0
