Request for Mods - New forum on Sub Thread

Hi Mods (whoever manages these things on MSE)

I would like to propose a new forum on the Sub Boards.

I have been inspired the last couple of weeks by DFW's who have taken the time to come back and post on here when they have got to their debt free day and are actually DFW's no more!!

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2691855

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2743990

These threads, invariably, tend to get lost in time on the board and personally I think it would be great if we could group these threads together into one forum (Called 'I did it! - My DFD! or something more intelligent!).

I think this would be such great motivation for all of us who are in payment plans, budgeting etc to get debt free if we could see all of those people who have ACTUALLY done it.

Thanks

I've moved your thread to the forum suggestions board. The people who decide these (actually pretty big!) changes are the MSE staff, they don't tend to read the individual threads and boards as frankly there are just too many but tend to keep and eye on the forum suggestions and feedback :)

Nice idea, but I think a separate board is probably a bit much.

We do after all have the Debt Free Roll of Honour.

I'm not a regular on the DFW board, but I was going to suggest perhaps a sticky thread would suffice, as is common on other boards to report 'success & failure' stories. Afterall, each report is generally a one off post reporting an outcome, rather than a basis for individual discussion threads. I note the linked threads provided by the OP actually go to many pages, and so such assumption may appear wrong, but a very quick scan of the replies are others saying 'thanks', for which MSE has a useful thanks button already.

The link you provide appears to fullfill this role of such a thread, however I note it is not a sticky so was going to suggest perhaps it was made one. But then I saw a sticky by MSE Andrea, Debt-Free Wannabee Newbies Guide: Challenges, Honour Roll, Nerds & Where to start! , which includes a link to that thread and a number of other useful threads, so I guess it's pretty much covered by that. :)
