Ocassional Internet Access.

Hi, know zilch really about modern mobiles, so bear with me!
I'm looking to buy a mobile, up to £100 to use as PAYG. I'm with vodafone, so would prefer to stay with that network. I'd like to be able to access the internet, but only for limited use, I won't be a heavy user. I see they have a monthly charge of £7.50 which would probably be plenty for me, are you tied into this, or is it just renewable monthly.
I have been looking at LG Viewty or Samsung Monte, any thoughts on these, or other suggestions.
Thanks

Thanks, but I think they use O2, which is very patchy in our area, vodafone is far better.
  • Is there any particular reason why you are choosing PAYG? I'm on a £10 per month deal (18 months) with a free phone, and free mobile internet on t-mobile.
It wouldn't surprise me if there were similar monthly plans from other providers (seeing as you are considering £7.50 per month anyways)

    No its a T-Mobile phone.
  • Take a look at the Orange San Francisco. For the price the specs are fantastic.
The Orange PAYG tarrif isn't great though - the inclusive browsing after a top up I believe is only 100MB a month which is a bit ridiculous.

Worth looking at! Thanks. My main thinking behind PAYG is that I cannot see me using it a great deal. I would just like the internet facility available for the few ocassions when I might. My son pays £35 a month, but his phone is never out of his hand! I can't see me ever getting to that stage, too set in my ways now!:rotfl:
