iPhone 4 Insurance

Does anyone know good insurance for the iPhone 4. I am currently paying £11.99 a month for my HTC Desire with the GeekSquad.

But before i phone them up to switch my details to my iPhone 4 does anyone know off other companies that do insurance?

I was looking at these guys "Mobile Phone Insurance Direct" (Google them) - £5.50 a month for a 32gb iPhone 4 seems to good to be true!

Just an idea, but some banks offer mobile insurance if you pay.

    Natwest Advantage

Mobile phone insurance – save up to £119ad_gold_insurance.jpgCovers loss, theft and accidental/malicious damage of handsets up to a maximum retail value of £1000 (including VAT). You're also covered for unauthorised calls up to £1500 (including VAT) per claim for monthly contract phones and £100 (including VAT) per claim for pay-as-you-go. Own an iPhone or PDA? It's protected too. You can even protect up to two mobile phones if you have a joint account. Cover commences 14 days after registration.

Thats £12.95 and also comes with other benefits. Your paying £11.99 just for your phone.

    Look around at other banks.

    Just a suggestion.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

or personal posessions section of your home insurance
  • I am only a student so I am all about saving money.

So the cheapest deal possible is what I am after!

As a student interested in money saving you are better keeping your student bank account with it's interest free overdraft then! Oh yes, and NOT having an iPhone!!!

With your contents insurance you should be able to get personal posessions cover extention which may well be cheaper than stand alone phone cover.

    Alternativly, don't loose your phone.
  • Natwest Advantage blue is the way to go... i actually opened an account with them just for this very topic... you wont find it cheaper else where!

Well, it is if the other benifits are also useful to the OP. Otherwise £5.50 or the cost of personal posessions may be better value!
  • I am pretty sure I don't have any personal posessions insurance.

That Natwest account insurance looks great but to be honest I would rather stick with my current Halifax account at the moment.

I am guessing this £5.50 a month is the best option I have.

    Insurance benefits
You normally have to pay separately for insurance cover, but with the Ultimate Reward Current Account, it all comes in one convenient package:
    • Worldwide multi-trip travel insurance for two adults (aged under 71) and all your children (children must be aged under 16, or under 23 if in full-time education) – including winter sports cover and golf trips. Medical exclusions may apply
    • AA Breakdown Cover - roadside assistance when you need it most. You’re covered as a driver or a passenger in any eligible vehicle if you breakdown more than 1/4 mile from home
    • AA Accident Management - assistance in arranging the repair, recovery and claim processing
    • Mobile phone insurance at home and abroad if your mobile phone is lost, stolen or damaged. You’re covered anywhere in the world. Insurance is valid 15 days after registration of your mobile phone
    • Home emergency cover – from burst pipes to broken windows, get the help and repairs you need
    • Card protection for all your registered debit, credit, store and charge cards if they’re lost or stolen, whether at home or abroad
    • Travel accident cover – protection if you have an accident while travelling on public transport in the UK or abroad
    • Identity theft assistance – with identity fraud a growing problem in the UK, we'll provide help and support on our free advice line open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
    • Purchase protection covering the items you buy with your Ultimate Reward Visa debit card if they’re lost, stolen or accidentally damaged
    • Price promise – if you buy an item with your Ultimate Reward Visa debit card and then see it cheaper elsewhere, you can claim back the difference from us
You may want to consider any existing insurance policies you have with Halifax or any other providers as you may already have equivalent cover. Although the Ultimate Reward Current Account brings all these insurance policies into one convenient package, you may want to consider if it's the right Halifax current account for you.

    Your Halifax offers this.

If you pay in £1000 per month you get £5 so infact it costs £7.50, so your paying £2 than just phone insurance
