The budget is moving in the direction of £2500 - I've told him we're getting nothing much for £1500. If you would post your people, that would be useful - we don't live htere but spend enough time in London
http://www.stellisonselectrical.co.uk/home - sorry London may have been abit ambiguous - Hornchurch is the nearest to london but really Essex I guess. May be worth a phone call as they are very knowledgeable and won't try and flog you the most expensive but will explain the pros and cons for each.
They were very truthful about some of the cheaper end washing machines when we started looking, about the test data and how its skewed and how you would be lucky to get a couple of years regular family service from some machines
We've stuck with Siemens so far and been very happy and also often have 5 years rather than standard 2 year warranty (Just registering our w/m for it now) . £2500 should get you some decent appliances
Good luck!0 -
Me and my hubby looked at Miele, because we wanted quality, but taking everything into account it was too expensive if you want to have the whole kitchen furnished.
We decided on Bosch in the end because our previous dishwasher was a Bosch and was trouble free for years. Also they have a promotion at the moment. I got £50 cash for buying a fridge freezer and dishwasher.0 -
We went for Bosch for most things and spent about £2000 on double oven, 5 ring gas burner, extractor, dishwasher, and fridge freezer (hotpoint).
We went for black oven and freezer which look amazing against our white gloss cabinets. Really happy with the look of all of it.
Once I'd decided I spent a while researching prices online, I knocked about £300 off the original price, just by quoting the best deal to our local appliance shop, so it was worth it!0 -
I'm having to replace my ceramic hob and want to get induction.
For a budget of around £350 I can choose between:
Hotpoint
Zanussi
Vitralux (never heard of this)
My built under oven is AEG and I love quality German hobs like the Miele
Any ideas? Which of my shortlist is a reliable brand? I want one with a steel frame, not glass edge this time! I saw at John Lewis but these are £550+0 -
Doozer, is this for you or for a development?
Have you considered a duel fuel range instead of 2 ovens & a hob. You'll have less carcasses & worktop to buy too
I bought a stainless steel range, which everyone assumes cost well over £1000. Infact it was £500. And it's fantastic, & I've had it for a few years now. It also has storage.
This is the newer version of it.
BTW, stay well away from CDA. Their washing machines are terrible, so I can't image the rest of their range is much better.0 -
At the top end of the market, stick with Miele, in the mid-range stick with Neff/Siemens, slightly lower - look at Bosch/Electrolux.
Generally speaking, its all a lot of poorly manufactured below these price points. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Spot on Sooz
Double oven is a bit of a waste of space when you can do all the cooking with something like a dual-zone single oven. Like this one
4 burner Gas hob, I wouldn't personally spend more then £300, If it's for development go for the glass, if it's for you run to the hills, the glass get scratched fairly quickly and after few years it's looking tired (and probably unfashionable).Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

I originally looked at CDA, but was put off by the quality of the stuff. In the end, we chose Siemens, with which we are very pleased so far. However, we've also had Bosch appliances in the past and found those to be good.0
