That should have been repaired immediately. The exhaust could fall off in the road possibly causing an accident. That would cost more than fixing it now. If there's a hole in the exhaust, fumes could enter the car as well. Just because a car has a valid MOT doesn't mean it is safe to drive. Every driver is responsible for ensuring that their car is safe to drive.0

I wouldn't worry that much about a broken exhaust rubber. However for the £4 it'd cost to fix, I'm suprised they didn't just do it.That should have been repaired immediately. Remember a leaking exhaust only fails an MOT if it is excessive, small leaks are not a reason for rejection.
