Good basic phone for mother in law - recs?

My MIL has a nokia 3310 phone from about 10 years ago. She doesnt use it that often and then its only to text or ring to say she is okay. She needs a new one as she has dropped the handset and the screen is cracked and she has been quoted more than the phone is worth to have it repaired.

We are going to get her one for Christmas but dont know what to look at. Dont want to spend more than £30-£40 on it. She would like to stay with 02 so she doesnt have to go through the hassle of changing number and she is happy with the coverage she gets with 02.

As I say, its just for basic texting and ringing. Not too small numbers and she likes a big clear screen to see :rotfl:Doesnt really need to have a camera either although that would be an added bonus.

What would you suggest we look at? Thanks

lol - I am not asking for much
  • My wife got a basic Nokia in Tesco at the weekend for £15. As Tesco use the O2 network I would imagine there's a good chance that an O2 sim would work in it.
